In mid-2005, a group of senior consultants left our respective
firms to form Strategic Planning Associates, LLC, an
independent
consultancy providing interdisciplinary problem-
solving services.

The People
The company’s managing partners are senior industry
executives with both consulting and client-side experience.
Corey Sherman, Managing Partner, is our lead strategist.
Before entering the management consulting field about 20
years ago, Corey was Creative Director for New York Life. Since
then, he has led the Strategic Planning & Change Management Practices for several of the leading international HR and benefits consulting firms. He writes
the monthly "Views & Vents" column for Employee Benefit News, and contributes regularly to our Strategy Blog.

Fred Munzenmaier, FCA, FSA, AAA, EA, Managing Partner, has over 35 years’ experience
as a senior-level actuary leading the Retirement Practices for major international HR and
benefits consulting firms. Fred is particularly noted for his work in originating the Georgia
State Retirement Replacement Ratio Study, which has become the industry standard for assessing
the adequacy and competitiveness of retirement programs. Fred is also a frequent contributor to the Strategy Blog.

Karen Sherman, Principal, is our senior communication consultant. Formerly manager
of employee communication at BellSouth Corporation, Karen has also been a consultant with
several large benefit consulting firms. She specializes in developing strategies for both internal and external audiences.

Judy Kinman, Senior Consultant & Editor, has over 30 years’ experience in consulting with some of the world’s largest firms. Our senior writer and editor, Judy is expert in organizational and employee communications, public relations, branding, marketing, and advertising.

Kristen Leigh, Art Director, who started in advertising, has spent the past 10 years
producing award-winning layout and design work for our clients in branding, marketing,
employee communication, strategic planning, and change management. She is also expert
in survey design and analysis, and produces our reports for client surveys and focus groups.

Richard J. Anthony, Sr., is founder and Managing Director of The Solutions Network, Inc. and
The Entrepreneurs Network, a venue for early stage companies to secure funding and support services. Rick brings Strategic Planning Associates over 30 years’ experience as counselor to senior management on organizational effectiveness, human resource management, and performance improvement. He is a member of the adjunct faculty at Villanova University
and a member of the University's Entrepreneurial Advisory Committee.

Charles Atkinson, CFC, is founder and Principal of Benalytics Consulting Group, LLC. He provides technical expertise in health and welfare benefits, data analysis, and plan management. He also has extensive experience as a benefits underwriter, claims auditor, and broker.

Michael Turner, Senior Systems Consultant, is a governmental services specialist, with over
38 years of experience with the U.S. Navy and Federal Aviation Administration. Michael is our
lead consultant in the development of engineering and computer applications to modernize and expand operational capabilities and efficiencies.
